Mouse Recomendations?

I am looking to buy a new mouse since my current one is older than dirt and spins me in circles randomly.

Any recommendations? Nothing too crazy in price, looking to spend under $50(the lower the better). I prefer to buy from Newegg so links to product pages on there is helpful

Current mouse: Logitech mbt96a with 800 dpi.

Buttons: I don't really want a mouse with a bunch of buttons but a thumb and ring finger buttons would be nice.

Sensitivity: My current mouse is not as quick at turning as I would like, I tried turning up the sensitivity in games but that makes sniping a lot harder.

Current games I play: Mostly FPS like DoD:S and Borderlands 2 (never been a fan of ultra realistic shooters like BF3) but also RTS like Civ V and StarCraft.
 
Although a little pricy, You could try looking at Razer's products, found on many sites - Amazon, store.razerzone.com (Razer store), and most likely a few others as well.

I'm using one myself - The older version Razer Diamondback (Pre-3G version) - Play a large variety of games and have had the mouse for a rather long time. Works really well.
 
I had a Razor Copperhead for about 5 years and it was a GREAT mouse. I hear good things about the Deathadder and was thinking of getting it.

I really anted the Razer Ouroboros but could not for the life of me find one on amazon or newegg.

But ended up getting the Cyborg Rat 7. Funky mouse when I was trying to get use to it for the first time. But now that I have it set up exactly how I like it, I just fell in love with the mouse.

I personally rec. the Logitech g5. The build quality of the mouse is solid as well as the specs. At a price within your budget it is a very good mouse. If you look up some reviews you'll see that many other people feel the same way.
 
Just get a Logitech G400. Everything you need, in a small consumer-friendly package. 8 buttons (2 thumb buttons, left/right click, mouse button, and 3 sensitivity adjustment buttons), all available to use for $35
 
Razer lechesis or diamondback is my advice. Unfortunately I can't recommend logitech, as the only quality gaming products they make are keyboards.

As for the RAT series of mice from Cyborg, I have owned 2 Rat 9's and have had to return both because of shoddy build quality. Mouse 4 and 5 buttons stopped working on each mouse after several weeks of use.

Really Blue? I always hear the exact opposite. Razers feel cheap and logitechs are built to last. This is the impression I have gotten as well from the various logitech mice and razer deathadder I have used. Also, logitech warranty is unbeatable and I never have a problem getting a replacement sent to my house without even sending the old one back if there is a problem.

I have owned Razer mice for 7 years and have never had hardware problems with them. Their software/firmware is often undesirable, but its optional and I never install it. I have owned a range of different Razer products and the only ones I have ever encountered with poor build quality are their headsets. It all comes down to the experience you have, I guess.

^I agree with the first part of this, Blue.

I've had my Razer Diamondback (Again, the older version before 3G - Also the only Razer product I've ever had, tbh) for a rather long time, perhaps even as long as you have with yours, and haven't had any issues with it.

When I tried the Logitech I was gifted - Felt too bulky, big, Where-as the Diamondback was lightweight-feely and easier to move.

Eh. I suppose it all narrows down to what the player looking to buy prefers.
 
I've used Razer, Cyborg R.A.T 5 and Logitech. Loved them all. Currently using a Corsair Vengeance M60 and loving it too. All depends on what you like...do you like it's looks, the way it feels, how much dpi you want in a mouse.

I agree with this. I bought a G400, to replace my dead Logitech MX518 after years of using it. My favorite thing about it is, it feels exactly like my old MX518. From what I read before, it just has a different sensor and higher DPI settings.

The MX518 and the older batches of G400 (Which they are no longer selling.) have mouse prediction / angle snapping. All of the G400's nowadays have no more mouse predictions.

This mouse is actually on sale for $28 right now. I am considering replacing my g700 with this as it is a little heavy, battery life is weak, and I used to love my g5. However, given these cannot use extra weight, I am worried that going from a heavy mouse to a super light one is not the best move either.
 
I use my Microsoft Sidewinder x8 Mouse and i have loved it since i've gotten it. Although the software for the mouse isn't so nice, It works fine for me.
 
I literally bought a Razer Abyssus off Amazon for about $30 4 days ago, it a very simple mouse with just left right and middle buttons but I love the feel for it, in my opinion it was well worth it.
 
Wireless Gaming Mouse G700 ...

Mice are kind of a "personal" thing. Finding one that fits your hand just right, the weight of the mouse ( some allow you to change it's weight), How many buttons/functions you desire from it & what types of games you play to use it for. Some are better for FPS others for MMORPG but with that said I would suggest looking into the Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse G700 . I'd call it a a multi-use mouse, has enough buttons (programmable) & a wide range of DPI.
But if you have small hands it wouldn't be a good fit

I agree with Puke.. I just bought a G700 earlier this week and I'm loving it. It has 10 programmable buttons, its wireless with a max 5700 DPI. The wireless is a rechargeable battery that comes with it and a USB cable that you can make the mouse corded and is used for recharging the battery.

I do have small hands and feel that it is a little big for me, but its not so bad that I can't adjust to it if I change how I position my hand.

Edit: its not mentioned but the G700 was on sale at Best Buy for $59.99, $20 off normal price.
 
I've had a Razer Deathadder for a year and it's never stopped working or failed to satisfy me. Has left and right buttons with 2 on the left side, which are very easy to use. Scroll which is also a button ( as is with mose mice ) that works well. Good fit in my hand and looks nice too :).
 
IF you are looking for a simple yet sleek and steady mouse, I would recommend a steelseries Kana. I have had mine for about 6 months now. I used to go through mice like crazy until I got this one. Very light, good feel and great performance. Price tag isn't bad either. I hate those big clunky gaming mice. This one is probably the best mouse I've ever had.
