New laptop choices

Ok, so im gonna make this short n sweet. In the next few months, I will be looking to get a new laptop (mainly for dj business). You may have seen the promo commercial where they have that deaf dj who helps Microsoft to promote Win8, but I had such a tough time dealing with it on my dads Surface (yes he actually bought it and less than a month later decided it wasnt for him, yet he doesnt care to return it). So heres the specs im looking for:

#1 Win7 (duh only choice available)
#2 4gb ram min (I will upgrade that myself since I upgraded an older laptop years ago, so I know how to do that)
#3 Between 250-320gb hard drive

Im looking to spend anywhere from $400-500 (unless theres a really amazing deal that barely goes over 500, then I will research it).

Very few laptops come with windows 7 on it since windows 8 was released. As for a decent laptop for the business you are in I suggest saving money and getting a mac. Of course windows can do the same things but macs have some amazing programs that are better then anything I have used on windows.

I sure hope you didn't make your judgement on Win 8 based upon Windows 8 RT only. RT is a watered down version of Win 8, and you need the full version to be able to customize it effectively to your liking. I love Win 8, but even I can't be bothered with the RT version, its terrible right now.

Also, what codecs do you use for your music and audio files?
