Team fortress three has been announced!

tf2 is good enough as it is and there really is no point to make a third

Yea, that would seem to be the only reason that would make any sense. TF2 is still surprisingly popular for how long its been around, probably because its so easy to just pick up and play. The (relative) simplicity in the style and graphics probably lends itself to surviving generational shifts in gaming tech. Though, I mean, people still play Starcraft too, and that didn't prevent Starcraft 2 from coming out.

I think it won't be titled TF3. They'll probably follow in Counter-Strike's footsteps and create a reboot of the game on a new engine, like CS:S, or engine version, as with CS:GO. It'll probably be an F2P (hopefully mechanically purer) revival of the simple IDEA of Team Fortress 2 with an unnumbered name.

Team Fortress 3 will probably come out when TF2 loses all it's hype. It's already losing some, not many good weapons being added, no real updates in a while, 4-5 years old(guess). my guess is that they may consider starting development and having it ready for a possible date around 2015-2017. What it will probably be is just like the other team fortresses, 9 classes, 2 teams, millions of combinations to showcase your charector, etc. probably ill have a promo for having TF2.


Then again, with the main charectors dead(those 2 who died in the comics), those were basically the 2 who made the story line. fighting each other for their companies.
