Tough decisions

So im getting my taxes back in 2 weeks and i have about $1100 to spend. I can ether build a new computer or buy two Carnival Cruise tickets to the Bahamas. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!. If i get a new computer i would like it to be pre built, if anybody has any good websites that they could share that would be cool. Besides Origen custom computers. They are out of my price range. Thanks

You can actually build it yourself... (not being rude) being completely honest.. pricewatch.com and then go to barebones pc. I got mine for like 400-500 dollars and that was without the gfx card.. so you can do alot... check that website out

Also did you not hear about what happened with the Carnival cruise liner either earlier this month if not late last month? Big lawsuit going on because of that. Also I wouldnt trust cruise ships because they have a long history of issues.

I say go for the cruise. If you're worried about something bad happening on your cruise... better not ever go anywhere... it's a dangerous world out there! It's like ppl who don't fly because sometimes a plane crashes. How many "cruise related" deaths are there per year? Not enough for it to sway my decision. Today I drove 1.5 hours in rush hour traffic with roads iced over like hokey rinks. Guarantee I had a higher chance of some horrible accident happening on the roads this morning then taking a cruise.

Went on my first cruise with my wife for our 10 year anniversary 2 years ago. It was the best vacation I've ever had. I'm not a big fan of large bodies of water and frankly swimming in the ocean scares the crap out of me but being out on that big boat you don't even notice it. Sure it was the illusion of safety but it was a powerful illusion =)

If someone said to me today "If you give me your gaming computer I'll give you 2 tickets + air fair to go on a cruise" I wouldn't even hesitate to take that offer! I can't wait to go on another. We did 7 days in the western Caribbean and it was freak'n EPIC.

I will say though; know what you are getting into if you do any excursions at the ports. That's where stuff can get out of hand. People do actually die on those =/ If you're a "worldly" person who likes flying by the seat of your pants, negotiating with people in other countries, and planing things as you go.... then just book your excursions at port. If you are uncomfortable negotiating with people, want some reassurance of a refund if something happens, and want your choices to be somewhat filtered to weed out the bad apples, then pay the premium price and book everything through the cruse line.

Also we almost missed our flight due to a blizzard that hit the night before our flight. I about crapped a brick sideways because I didn't book the plane tickets through the cruise. If I missed the boat I didn't get a refund and it was up to me to somehow meet up at one of the ports. Would have cost me $3,000 to fly to one of the islands and meet the ship! Thankfully we did make it but man I wished I had booked the plane tickets through the cruise line too!
