TF2 Adds showing up twice ..

Since the last update I'm getting the adds showing twice, but only in eGO servers.
Also you'll notice the rules aren't showing up
Any ideas as to why?

I run a non stock HUD, I went back to stock to test but still the same issue.

Its eGO's servers. (If thats what you're playing on.) Not you. Its them forcing the ads to come up and interrupting the game.

Cloaked is correct. Assuming you're playing on eGO servers, it is the way that the in-game ads system runs, and it's not a client-sided issue.

Hmm, interesting since yes it is eGo servers (only) & as I stated in the original post this just started happening after the last Update. I've never had it pop up twice & also the rules reminder that show when you 1st enter no longer shows

It does the same thing in our CS:S servers for me, and I believe it did so in DoD:S as well.

Hi guys. We moved away from the Pinion video ads that were displayed when you joined to a new simpler, banner ad display. I added in functionality so that Dedicated Supporters don't see ads, but in order to make sure that clients were assigned their subscriptions before the ads popped up, I had to move the ads motd to after you join a team. There is no forced duration or anything like that, just an extra "OK" button. The ad is only shown once on your first team join and should never interrupt anything.

I personally find ads in game like that very annoying. I dont mind ads on the webpage and I know ads generate revenue to keep things going but if the sheer number of people joining eGO and constantly donating isnt enough to keep the source servers up with adsense is disheartening that it has to interupt gameplay by telling me to buy something from amazon when all I wanted to do is play games. There have been times where I have pressed a few keys here and there and miss clicked onto the ad, making my computer freeze up and taking away from the experience of the game.

I'll have to admit I'm not fan of it, sorry but it's just more cumbersome then it was before (as you can see by the video). :crying:
