Congratulations to our newest admins!

I'm one of Op:X's Admin Trainers (AT) along with Dobbeh who is based out of the UK and can help most Euros and Zeak who is a trusted Division Leader for Op:X and our head AT based out of Denmark (again, Euro times).

As part of your responsibilities as an admin you should consider undergoing Basic Admin Training (BAT) as soon as possible. This class is open to all eGs and eGOs looking to setup their admin for the first time or as a refresher. Advanced Admin Training classes are also available.

Please reply in this thread, in the Request Training section of the Admin Central forums, or PM me.

I am available after 8:00 PM Eastern Monday-Friday and available most weekends but I will do my best to accommodate your schedule.

P.S. Your best bet to get a hold of me for a training session is via a PM on the forums or to find me in Ventrilo (I'm usually in the Arma II channels).

Until we can get you into a class please check out these links:

Adding too this.

Free most evenings/weekends (my time, so morning/afternoon EST). Feel free to send me a PM if you need training in any Source games.

Just curious, how does admin training take place when few of these games are source ones?

I poked fun at Stormy about this because Im a jerk and he explained it to me, kinda.

He said that the admin training wont be for most of your games since you can really admin in them, but they're to train you to be better admins for when you visit the other divisions in eGO, and to be a better admin all around. That way when you join DoDS or TF2 you cant say "Well Shoot, Ive never played your game before and have no clue how to admin effectively."

Thanks Compton!

Simon, to answer your question; the biggest reason we have admin trainers in a division that has no adminable games is because our admins represent our division and therefore, they should be taught by Op:X ATs whoe understand our division's unique situation.

This situation is a lot like eGO members who play on non-eGO servers; these members are held to eGO standards whenever they wear the tags and our admins are held to Op:X standards whenever they admin in other divisions.

Additionally, the majority of Basic Admin Training (BAT) consists of eGO structure and policy. These fundamentals transfer over to all facets of games that our members play, including their conduct in non-eGO servers, Ventrilo, and how to deal with fellow members who misrepresent eGO outside of eGO servers. On top of the universal curriculum we teach, we try to explain to our admins that they are held to a higher standard than admins in other divisions because they have no choice other than to represent Op:X in any game they play.

If a CSS member messes up in a CSS server they only have to answer to their own leadership. Whenever one of our admins messes up (a very rare occurrence) they answer to Op:X leadership. It only makes sense that if our leadership members are responsible for our admins then our admins should be trained to the high Op:X standard of excellence.

Op:X is a great division because we have managed to get some of the best members from every division. Although the Op:X division doesn't have any games under its umbrella to admin in; our admins are some of the best because of their past experience and because of the amount of responsibility we trust them with. Just to give you an idea of the quality of our admins and members I'll let you in on a little secret: the Op:X division actually has more DoD members of the year than the DoD division itself (me). This standard of excellence continues through our admin training.
