bf2 heavy metal server and being kicked

hi, I play on this server a good bit and like it and understand the rules fairly well. and two days in a row now I have been kicked for shooting into enemy base. in both cases I was in a helo that I spawned into at C, I did not fire a SINGLE shot into enemy base, yet have been kicked for shooting into base. I personally that that is TOTAL BS. and when it happned today , I reenter server and am trying to explain my side and get kicked AGAIN for "arguing with an ADMIN" I did not argue with anyone, just tried to ask WHY and tell my side of it and say I thought it was BS. I was shooting at enemy at C base not in uncap, not one bullet. I will assume seconds before blowing up that the pilot had shot into uncap. I was told I shouild have bailed from the helo as he was raping. seriously? it was a matter of no more than 2 seconds.

Again I think it is total bs , that you all allow such things to go on without even questioning , supposed offenders, perhaps u allow admin rights to easily, as it certainly is not fair, not in the least. I am good player and honest player, I even report to ego players when others base rape. but , I suppose that counts for nothing, when u have "quick draw mcgraw" having admin rights. you want to enforce rules it should be done fairly , for base rape and for arguing., check your chat log for this evening at time of event about half hour ago from this posting, trying to explain one self and ask why is not arguing, is inquiring and expecting a SOLID reason for being kicked.

again a matter of seconds is not fair to say well you should have jumped out of helo, I could understand if pilot is circle around base and shooting into it, in that case I do bail. I ask that you all not be a quick to judge and swing ban hammers. think and be fair and honest.

one more thing, how is is allowed for uncap anti air vads to fire out, and no one can even fire back? thats very odd as well. no fire in ? then there should be no fire out. yet that happens all the time, nothing happens to them.

u can agree or not, we all have our opinions, mine is being kicked for the situations was unjust.

Aloha Charlie. I understand your frustration in this matter . It's hard for our Admins to judge everyone the same and still be part of the gameplay as well.
I can ensure you that "ALL" of our Admins have to go through proper class training before even being considered for Admin rights.
I would like to apologize in this matter to you if someone treated you unfairly and it is NEVER our intend to upset public players on our Servers. It's just hard to satisfy everyone and sometimes we make mistakes or misjudge a Situation.
For sure somebody will be looking in to this matter and a word of advice from the leadership to our fellow admins will be said.
We are all just human and make our mistakes. I hope we will be seeing you around and you are very welcome to come again.

I was the kicking and temp banning admin. The ban is posted; it is for 24 hours. You can file a ban contest here.

Thank you for taking the time to talk about it in the forums. Please review my ban request for the reasons for the kick and the ban before submitting a ban contest. In my experience, ban contests are ruled upon within a few hours.

Moridous was the kicking admin yesterday evening. He and I were on vent at the time of my kick, and we discussed his actions yesterday as well (firing into uncap). My kick was for "entering enemy base," not firing. When the attack helo enters I have to try and identify the players involved. Here, the warning issued immediately as I was at C and watched the helo fly into the base. I saw the gunner (Charlie) fire two bursts while the helo was in the base. I did not see fire from the vads in the base. The helo left, and strafed C, where the gunner (Charlie) got a kill that I observed on the kill report. It then turned and again entered the base. I kicked Charlie, and then the helo was shot down and bars62 identified as the pilot in the kill report. I kicked him as well.

The time between the warning and the kick was actually 37 seconds; with my typing skills and given time for you to read before the helo flew in the second time it was more like 25 seconds.

The temp ban was for arguing the point. The game is not the time or place to fill the chat log with what the rules should be, or whether you believe the rules were impartially enforced. I engaged you in a brief discussion, which is actually MORE than what several other admins would have done. Moridous and I both gave you advice for next time you were in a helo and the pilot breaks the rules. I have been in the same position with a pilot that flies into a base; I bail and don't pop the 'chute. There is no other way.

I did ask you to stop the discussion, and I told you what the result would be if you didn't. I don't join a game to admin, or discuss the pros and cons of the rules. I actually join so I can play too. If you want to discuss it, download Ventrilo and we are usually there while we are playing. I will talk on Ventrilo with you any time I am on if you want.

Charlie, please understand that I personally try to make admin decisions without regard to who the player is. I know you, and I respect your play a great deal. I think you add to any team you are on. But this kick was a no-doubter to me; I warned, I watched and waited until I could identify people, and then kicked.

While you and I were in discussion in the chat log Moridous was telling me that essentially the same thing had occurred the previous day. He kicked for firing into uncap, then kicked again for "server disruption." The chat log confirms that you came back to dispute the original kick with him, and he asked you to stop. I did not include that in the temp ban request because it was a different incident.

right on. next time I will ENSURE (as you suggested) to bail and not be found in said situation in helo again. I apologize for any wrong doings in game or speech within chat.

I can live a day without killing on the ego HM server

and I will try to help even more to enforce the no base rape rule by providing names of the guilty.

oh and vent.... well lets just say I tried it ONCE and have not felt the urge or need to try it again, no desire to hear useless BS banter of kids. The time I tried it I "thought" it would be basically to help my squad out and not a bunch of cursing and what not. If I found a team/ squad that I knew used it as i feel its intended I would try it again. but alas I have no team.

perhaps you all will consider a server rule that keeps no use of vads IN BASE, as that totally is NOT fair, as we all know darn well, in must instances its a base camper on vads shooting at helo WAY before they are even near to base, sorry but I still fail to see how a double standard in this matter is fair to all players. I am certain others would agree looking through objective eyes at this issue. particularly when the one firing in is doing so in return to being fired upon.

anywho, do as you see fit, its just my 2 cents
