i got a little question , my desktop is broken , but not up to date enough also , i now got an laptop , it's not much special , it's an old one of my dad, well now if i try to play bfbc2 , i just got such an high ping, and if i play on medium qual i get black screen ,

my question is , what are the requierments for bf bc2 ?
i Got:

Windows 7 Prem
my processor is: intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430 CPU @ 2,40 GHz
Memory : 4GB
64 Bit

this laptop runs dod/css pretty well

There's a fix for the black screen issue.

Find documents>bfbc2>settings.cfg, open it up with notepad and change dxversion to 9 (from auto) then save it.

From the back of the box my copy came in ( I miss retail copies of games... ):

Minimum:
WinXp or 7

Intel Pentium D, 3.0 GHz / Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.0 GHz / AMD Athlon 64 X2 or faster

2 GB RAM or more

Direct X 9, 10 or 11 compatible video card ( must be 256 MB or more and contain these chipsets or better: nVidia GeForce 7800 GT; ATI X1900. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported. )

i have direct x10 on it i saw, i've try'd to update my video driver , on device manager , but he say's im up to date, my driver is named interl (R) HD Graphics Family

i guess my laptop should run the game ?

Your best bet is to just force DX9. Even if your card supports DX10 it's probably going to lag.

Yeah, even though your card might support DX10, it's still very taxing on it. Most low end cards and laptops that say they support DX10 will show a picture, but, it will be extremely laggy.

It's much more important to have a smoother animation than it is to have more details on something.

You don't need to download DX9. Your computer already has it. It's built into windows. Did you change the setting in your .cfg file?

i still got laggy play and high ping , i donwloaded and installed dx9 , but icant find the dx10 to remove it

High ping is probably because of the connection. You'll probably have to play at the lowest quality and drop the resolution down. Try hooking directly to the router and see if that helps your ping, if you have a LAN connection on your laptop.

mmm im on wifi , but like 4 meter of the router, don't have lan cable's and i can't lead lan cables trough the house, im already in the lowest qual , i'll try lower revolution, but that makes the game like 80% LESS fun :(

i'll try to search it ! what i have to typ in there ?

point2: cant find the cfg map , normally it's easy to find...
