Would the Hardcore members of BF eGO be interested in a bit of a change of pace?

Would you be interested in turning the mode from Rush to Conquest HC?

Hardcore Rush is "up and down" popular; by that I mean that some days it's full and others you can't start it up with kerosene and a Zippo. But it's still popular sometimes.

Why not take the third BC2 server and "rotate it" between hardcore conquest and other formats to see how well it takes hold?

Would it be possible to rotate between HC RUSH / CONQUEST . One Map Rush , One Conquest etc. and each map only once ? It kinda is annoying if you gotta play a map twice in conquest.

My two cents...

Both suggestions are a good idea. I think keeping all the hard core game play should be exclusive to one designated server.

This keeps it simple... hard core under one roof.. the regular server for non hard core game play.

We can debate both sides of the issue and in multiple postings... There maybe no clear winner.

There is really no right or wrong answer here its what best suits our gaming community. I think jumping server to server for different HC styles will actually lose players, by players not wanting to wait. Lets face it no body likes watching the cue wheel spinning.

You came to play, so lets get it on.. H/C folks like H/C, so let them go.. please let us non H/C players keep doing our thing...we need to keep our servers populated and on line.

But Skag and the other DL'S and Advisors can go into a head shed meeting and put there minds to work and grind it out.

I do think it's admirable that leadership has asked for our imput, hopefully more members will chime in. Just my "two cents " Swamp

Keep it the Same, Change it and you'll loose the majority of your regular players. Sucks but that seems to have happened on every server.

The issue with Rush is the lack of a dedicated eGO player base to play on it and keep it punk free all the time. Most of the time it is only really admined for a few hours a day by one sole admin. If there is a major recruiting push on that server to make an awesomely fun eGO player base then the server will be full more often. Rush is arguably the more popular gamemode in BC2 and that server can stay full for days. If anything experiment with the third server that hasn't really done a whole lot since we got it. The Rush server has been the same for multiple years. Don't fix what never broke.

if anything make it rush/conquest mix it up hardcore i sit in rush server for 2 hours at least and get maybe a half server ....

The hardcore server has been changed to a mixed mode. It will run 2 Rush maps followed by 1 Conquest.

This will retain a majority of the 'rush flavor' while throwing in a bit of variety to keep people interested.

Now is the time to help nurture it a bit. Please, if you see it empty, instead of going to another server, help get it started.

"Well how do I effectively get it started, Skag?" I'm glad you asked! Do not do it ALONE. Grab a few people via STEAM; heck, if you see fellow members in Vent, ask them too. Don't be shy: "Hey, mind spotting some time in HC to get it running?" That's all it takes. The more bodies to start the quicker it will populate. Doing it alone is next to an impossible feat. Be patient. It's like fishing! Play pistols only while you wait. Place knife bounties on each other. It helps to pass the time if it's slow going.

glad to hear it will be mixed mode. That's the way to go.

As soon as I get my PC back up, I will be testing it. Hopefully this weekend.

i dont usually visit that server with it being hardcore......but the conquest style of play is more my speed
