Well i was having trouble joining games with other browsers other than Chrome.
i run firefox as a default browser and it kept asking me to download the plugin.
well i found a fix. Click on the Firefox/nightly(i use nightly) menu button in the top left corner. click on add-ons. click on plugins. change the setting on the ESN Mozilla launch plugins and ESN sonar API plugin to always activate and problems will be fixed and will now let you launch the game.
In Internet Explorer click on the gear icon in top right corner (IE 9, 10 and 11) click on internet options, go to the security tab. change the security mode to medium (slide to bottom) and un-check the protected mode check box. restart your browser and you should now be able to join a server in IE.
