Model Bug - Seeing enemy as scout, floating weapon, and own team as opposing color

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I keep getting this bug. My system hangs for a bit (connection problem), and then I see everyone as a scout regardless of their class. The only way to fix this is to disconnect. Thankfully, valve has listed this on their bug list as:

Model bugs. (I.E. Seeing teammates as scouts of enemy team, floating guns.)

Has anyone who has encountered this bug also found a workaround?

I got that once.

I saw a shotgun floating past me..

i was laughing so hard. then it got annoying wiht all the bugs.

I had that problem before but, what connection do you have cable or DSL?

I get that occasionally..thought it was because I was not running windows though..

I got this problem once, but it was when my Ethernet cable managed to unplug itself.. I quickly plugged it in and everyone I saw was a red scout.

hmmmmmmmm strange....... never had that problem. Try getting a new cable?

The only workaround is to disconnect, once it happens, so far as I know. The issue is caused in the first place when you lose connection briefly or get severe packet loss... Only solution there is to complain to your ISP or see if you've got internal problems (bad wireless, interference, torrent/p2p programs, etc.).
