Battlefield 4 I'm Back!

Hey y'all. I quit BF3 because I couldn't keep up with life + all the new expansions.
But I decided now that my life is settling down to spoil myself with BF4 and have been playing on an eGO server.

So, how to get involved? Is there some way I can get the game to accept my old [e] tag?

It's a rather simple process. You don't need to reapply or anything. Just simply through your "e" tag back on and you're set.

To do so, follow this:

Go to Battlelog > Click on your profile (Move over your username) > Soldier > under "Tag" just put "e" > save

See you on the battlefield.

It says the clan tag is either invalid or reserved or something.

Did you try just putting the letter e? It won't let you put =,(,),=

Just put an e without any brackets and it should accept it. The brackets are automatic when you join servers.
