Recording software

[Mungo Man]

Hello, I would like to know if someone knows of a good recording software that is cheap or free that I can record in game stuff so that when someone does do something, it's recorded...

Thanks, Mungo.

The best recording solutions are hardware-based, but the two most common software recording programs are fraps and dxtory. I personally recommend dxtory over fraps as it gives more control, but fraps is much simpler for the typical gamer.

Both programs have limitations for the free versions.

I used this beginning of 2012, don't know if the free version is still as awesome.

I use the paid version of Fraps. It works great for me!

For those who need free software you can use Open Broadcaster Software.
It is comparable to paid version of bandicam, and does a great job.
