CS:S keeps crashing.

I bought CS:S maybe a week ago, and I haven't had a problem with it until today. I will join a server, and then after a minute, the entire application will crash. I know it's not my graphics/video card. I also tried to verify my game files cache, but that didn't work either. Any ideas of how to fix this?

chainsaw someone correct me but i believe this is due to the newest steam update
there's many multiple having the same problems and its being looked into by the tech guys and steam

Thanks for the answer. I think that Gabe Newel said in his recent AMA that they are working on an update at the moment. Hopefully this can fix some problems.
