Help please!!

I'm trying to get into my main drive that has some stuff on it that I really need from My Document folder but I cannot access. It has WinXP Pro OS on it from system that died & is password protected both an Administrator & User password & I am obviously getting "access denied". If at all possible can someone please assist me in "hacking" into the hard drive, I know the passwords. If you cannot post here can you please PM me as to how to access my drive. I have it installed as an external drive.

I normally don't sugest this, But geek squad has software that can remove all passwords from your pc.

You might be able to give yourself permissions to the file. Try rightclicking on it and then click properties. When the properties window comes up click security and then click advance and then another window should pop up. On that window, it will list all kind of users on the machine. Click add under the list of user types. Another window will pop up. Click select a principal and type in your username into the box and click check name and then ok. Under applies to, select "This Folder, Subfolers and Files" and then under that just check all the checkboxes for the permissions. Click ok and then ok again for the other windows and that should give you permissions to everything inside. It might take a while to overwrite the file permissions inside of that but that should do it.
