Tablet for sale

So I found a great deal on a tablet combo. Its an MSI Primo 73 (7" tablet), which has 1gb ram w/ 16gb internal storage & the package will come with a 16gb micro sd card & cleaner spray for $80 w/ free shipping. My question is: is this combo deal worth going after? I do plan to use it mainly for games & maybe watching some videos on it.
 
My only concern is the processor. It says arm cortex but doesn't specify the type. Also I'm almost certain about it not supporting 720p videos, even if it supports it wont be smooth. Also it's running Android 4.2 and latest one is 4.4 so your are already 2 version behind. On the other hand, it will stream Netflix and other stuff nicely. Don't expect it to play nice high quality games as i suspect processor can't handle it. 1GB ram on android is worthless. It will serve you as a good reading/streaming device. You will be able to watch videos without problems as long as they are not of HD kind. Specification is already old and if you need to update the OS then you need to look into XDA but XDA may not be helpful as its not a well known device. So, If you are okay with these things then go ahead and buy.

For $80 it's a good budget tablet.

But for just a bit more, you could upgrade to the sweet Google Nexus. Android 4.4, quad core processor, 2GB of RAM I believe, and a great browsing experience (not to mention a 1920 x 1200 resolution on the newest model!!!!)
 
I made a huge post and didn't post it before I closed my window. *sigh*

CPU is 1.0GHz fast. It's dual core.

Other people have bought it for $80. Their reviews are 1/5 on newegg.

Save the money and use it on a better purchase. It's poor performance and (based on reviews) bad screen will make you regret buying it.
 
In addition, I would be shocked if it got updated to a new version of android.
 
Makes sense then why they bundled it. Thanx for the feedback. I will look into the Google Nexus as a possible option. Like always, I appreciate your time guys.
 
Any real big difference between the Google Nexus & Samsung Galaxy tablets? I decided to pull up that link that Hellboy gave and the price is about the same.
 
Google nexus is from nexus so you get updates as soon as Google pushes them out on the other hand, with Samsung you Neff to wait for Samsung to push it out. Moreover its Samsung and personally i hate their skin. It's called touchWIZ and its THE ugliest skin ever made for a phone/tablet. If you decide to buy then, please look for reviews on YouTube and decide what you want. Personally if I'm going with android then i would pickup Nexus without thinking much. If you but from swappa then talk to the seller and get proper clarification about the gadgets condition.

For the budget tablet (sub $200) range, here's a short list of those to look at or consider, depending on your needs:

Acer Iconia series (there's a lot of them available)

I personally own a BN Nook HD+. Costs about $179, but if you have a membership, you can get it at a lower price; they also may run a special deal or discount sale. Has full Google Play support now; the CPU is definitely slower than the latest and greatest because it came out late 2012, but the screen is very crisp, battery life is superb (to me), and it has one major feature that a lot of other tablets don't have; expandable storage in the form of a MicroSD card port. I've read that 64GB is definitely available to be used AND you can change the default OS from BN's to another (CynogenMod) by just putting in the MicroSD card with the OS on it; it should by default read it.
