[poll] New Video card

I'm currently using an 8800 GT and love it. I'm play TF2 at 1680x1050 with high detail and average around 30 FPS in large outdoor areas. That said, the last two cards I bought were top of the line ATI All-in-Wonders at the time (8500 Pro and 9800 Pro) and I was mostly happy with both of them. I did have a little driver trouble with the 9800 towards the end of that computer's life, but that could have just been a factor of an (admittedly) totally messed up Windows install.

Anyway, congrats on the purchase. I love mine and I'm not sure that there's a better bang for your buck card out there right now.
 
My 2900XT gets 400-1000 fps in TF2, so no, ati doesn't suck... I have to v-sync to 60 because of my LCD though :/

The drivers only suck if you run AGP which I do with a 2600pro on an old nforce2 board. They got the issue resolved and it's solid with the hotfix drivers they released.

Nvidia's drivers have the same amount of "driver issues" most of which are because of cheap power supplies and people who don't know how to properly uninstall/install video drivers.

I've owned both I don't prefer one over the other. I got the 2900Xt because it's performance is between the 768Mb Ultra and the 768Mb GTX. I didn't want to spend 800$ on an ultra lol
 
8800gt! yes I like nvidia over ati mainly cuz ati is a power hog, plus upon readin the specs...ati isn't quite up to par with 8800gt though not too sure how accurate that info is. Either way 8800gt is a good card, runs smoothly, and I love how it runs on my friends computer hehe ^^
