Can someone elaborate on the differences between these 2 certifications? From what I heard is that Security+ isnt nearly as beefy in knowledge or as difficult when it comes to the certification test. I would like to know whether the Security+ is really worth going after.

They're 2 different certifications.
If you want to work Cyber/Network Security, the Security+ would be more for you. If you want to be more of a network administrator, Network+.
Or just get them both. A lot of people do.
I would recommend getting Network+ first, as there are some things in Network+ that you'd be better off being knowledgeable in before you get Security+. But yes, it is worth going after, if you're wanting to work network security jobs. (A lot of major corporations have positions for both. Some smaller companies you're doing both, which is why it is worth going after in my mind)
