Gah...stupid patch.

I went home last night and turned on steam. Patch started downloading...then updated...then TF2 not installed.

???

After I got the patch, I lost TF2. I tried restarting steam/computer and it's still gone. I gave up and tried to reinstall TF2, but all I get is a steam server is busy error.

I just had to gripe...

Anyone seen this before?

no they were supposed to have fixed things like that in the update befor last i belive lol go valve

go to your steam dir and delete everything but steam.exe and steamapps dir this will force steam itself to reinstall on next start and update to latest verson "obviously close it down befor you do this" that should cure any errors within steam "or cause more depending on which valve server your on lol" but i have done this myself to fix a similar issue where i went to join tf2 and it says updating though there is no update then says game not installed ect ect till i did that

Thanks for the tip. I tried it, but it didn't work.
Just gonna reinstall steam...
