Can't connect to TF2 servers through browser

I don't know what is causing this problem, but I cannot connect to a server via the browser. I have to view info on it and get the IP to connect manually through the console. This poses a problem, as the eGO servers are usually full and I can't use the auto-join option, which makes it even harder to join a server. I have no problem connecting to DoD:S or CS:S servers, just TF2. If anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it, it would be very appreciative.

what DOES it do when you try the auto connect or join functions from the server browser just nothing?
can u post ur pc specs also
try updating steam

Oh my PC specs are fine =P.

When I click on a server in the browser, the server name and IP will be the only things listed in the window that pops up when you click on it. The player list doesn't show up, the pings, the map, the game, none of that shows up, it is just blank. This function works fine on my other games, just that TF2 is bugged for some reason. I can't figure out what causes it. And my steam is fully updated, I just recently installed.

Try deleting those servers from your favorites and then refavoriting them...if that doesn;t work then idk...I used to have that problem but it sort of fixed itself so yeah

that or remove the game and reinstall

and "pc specs are fine" no such thing if you dont want reliable answers continue not to post reliable info
