That is interesting. I haven't had one performance issue yet. Kendle is having issues since last patch, he can't even play the game.



What do you think of it thus far?

Well, mine is three to four years old by now, so that. Disabling the NVIDIA Streamer Service does wonders, though.

This. Seems like any recording was crashing out the game for me. Had some luck with OBS but even then it would crash on occasion.

Just finished the single player last night, after a few crashes the first few days. I did not have another afterwords. Did run into a few glitches but nothing big. Most of the glitches were with phone calls after missions that would hang for about 30sec then all of a sudden start working again. Besides that had a wonderful single player and can't wait to jump into some multiplayer now.

Running anything that hooks into the process crashes it. Dxtory would crash it on start up, for example.

Tried to stream again with OBS, but turned down some settings and had no problem so far. Tried to stream with Shadowplay and had another crash. Been having problems with Shadowplay with other games too.

Interesting. I've both streamed the game with OBS and use shadowplay all the time for video editing purposes. Never had any performance issues. Two year old computer, self-built.

I don't think my PC can play it yet due to one reason. The GPU, it is a GT 240 which was bought new. But I can stream and play battlefield and other games so it serves me well. I'm upgrading big time soon, so I can play and dream even more games with more monitors. Hope to be in game soon!

I used it with MSI Afterburner to put temps and things on my G13.

Yeah I just built mine a little under a year ago. Just GTA does not like Shadowplay it seems. Have no problems with OBS now tho after the last update.

Note: Shadowplay only borks out when streaming to twitch. But has no problem with recording.

This. Sad to say but when they start banning people for mods is when I want my money back. Great game and fun story but I'm done with the game till I can use mods without getting banned. I'm not going to ask for my money back because I did find the single player worth the 60 I paid but I'm done with the game.

However I feel like they should be a little laid back with modding single player because well, it's single player. It really doesn't have an effect on other people. However modding online should still be bannable

Yeah. 14 days for FOV mod. Was playing first person in single player and the FOV is super low for me. Forgot I had it when I went into multiplayer and bam. Was playing multiplayer in 3rd person but from my understanding and what others have said even having the mod on in single player still bans for the online. I might have to get a "second" copy just so I can play with mods. Not a huge deal really but damn annoying and a huge inconvenience.

Agreed. I'll start messing around with mods a year or two from now, as soon as the game starts getting old and dull. Doing heists is still the best fun I've had in a video game in years.
Even with work keeping me busy, I've spent 50 hours in the game so far. Happily paying about a dollar an hour for this level of entertainment.
