GOG Galaxy Game Client Beta

[itsfulloftuna]

gog.com announced that they have released a beta client for their site, allowing users to log in, add and chat with friends, view/download games from their library, etc. For those that have never heard of gog.com, it's a site where older, DOS based games can be found and purchased, DRM-free. Think old-school Sierra AGI games line Space/King's/Police Quest, older versions of Myst, Elder Scrolls, Commander Keen, and the like. They have the ability to install the games within their installer to make it run on the PC's of today, no messing around with that DOSbox crap. Being an older gamer, I use this site as frequently as Steam, as they very frequently have games on sale.

But on topic, I've been using the beta, and so far the client works well despite not having that many features. Ever since the paid mod controversy, I've been moving away from Steam and having a reliable client without any mess or unsound consumer relations is a relief.

I can respect that, but think you could have been a little less condescending when requesting it? Maybe something along the lines like "hey, noticed that you are new here. Just want to remind you that we have some rules and guidelines concerning conduct with our forums. thanks!"

Or maybe a PM?
