I've played some of those maps, cp_castle, ctf_mach, of course warpath, and a few more, but I'm surprised the writer didn't mention some of the other really popular custom maps like ctf_hallofdeath. I'd agree with some of those reviews, because too often custom maps are quite horrible, but he was wrong about some maps, that in my opinion are quite entertaining.
His review of Surf_Legendary_Lite is a little bit biased. There's probably more to the map to surf, but mostly likely he just didn't surf well enough to get there. (Unless of course, the name is Lite because all of it was cut out...)
All in all I just don't think he understands the purpose of surf maps.
I've tried a few surf maps, but could never get the hang of them... I try to avoid them. I'll agree with his assessment of Mario_Kart... that one made my head hurt! I'm also surprised he didn't comment on OrangeX... that's a sniper's paradise
Surf_Legendary_Lite is not one of the better surf maps, theres no real challenge points where you have to be good at surfing or lucky to get past. Also some of the triangle things a a little broken.
But mostly this guy is bashing maps for the heck of it and I wouldn't rely on anything he says.
I couldnt help but laugh at all his reviews, hes one of those guys that view the glass half empty, imo. Im sure some of the maps are not as bad as he says, and im sure there are others that he hit the nail on the head. When i got to the end seeing his surprisingly positive reviews sparked some interest in trying them out, like ctf_turbine and cp_redstone.
