AMD shares the model names, pricing and tentative release dates as seen below. The company is smart to offer multiple models with varying price points as it enables consumers to choose the best card to fit their budget. Obviously, the performance increases with the price.

AMD Project Quantum: The Enthusiast PC Form Factor Leaps Forward

AMD announced Project Quantum, what it claims to be the most powerful small form-factor gaming PC. About the size of a gaming console, and designed entirely by AMD, using AMD components, this machine packs two AMD "Fiji" graphics processors, with 8 GB of graphics memory, set in CrossFire, and an AMD 64-bit x86 machine. All hot components are liquid-cooled. The desktop will be marketed by AMD AIB partners, and will offer 60 FPS on any game at 4K resolution. Leveraging Windows 10 and DirectX 12, the machine will ship out a little later this year. More details soon.

How is this going to be in comparison to the 980ti? Anyone know?
Personally more of an AMD fan (though less as of late w/ their bad drivers & high temp issues) than Nvidia so would be nice to have a powerful AMD card for up coming rig.
 
Still waiting on reviews, Shadow. Think we got another week or so before reviews start popping up, after the release date.

Just as good as the 980Ti, they trade blows in different games, but AMD?s HBM seems to give it a bit of an edge @ higher resolutions.

ehh idk about that. From what ive read (in many other reviews also) the 980ti beats it at everything. (not by much at 4k tho)
But even AMD said itll be a few years before games and other technology can really use the HBM VRAM. But by then the FuryX will be way out of date and nvidia will probably pick the technology up.

It looks like the fury X is a expensive tech demo..
 
Personally I think VR is going to be the way to go. The 'next-gen' consoles are already outdated so that's good. Can't wait to see the next battlefield on 4k/vr/dx12!
 
As others have said, the 980 Ti > R9 Fury. Disappointing for the company; they've been getting hammered on the stock market as that's the overall consensus. Many people were hoping that AMD could have taken the performance crown. Came just a few months too late, even though it would have been a brief reign.

For every gamer who wants to have the absolute best performance I think Nvidia will always be the best option, but for those of us who can't or won't spend a million dollars on a rig AMD is the way to go. In reality you are paying a lot more just for a few more fps.
