So, I was doing some research and there's this little rumor going around of a new case coming very shortly. So with this coming to my attention and me being a marketing kind of guy I looked for a way to make profit. How you might ask?One of my good friends brought be aware of this rumor and asked me to check out his inventory and description. He has a maxed inventory filled of operation phoenix cases. "Those only cost 3 cents what's the point?", you see at this very moment that's what they cost. If you look up the "Bravo" case or any of the "Weapon" cases, you will notice that they are decently high in price. You see the longer a case is out, the less cases drop, causing them to rise in price. The phoenix case is the oldest that hasn't had changed dropping rates, until this new case comes out..my point is, in about a year the phoenix cases will probably rise to $1. Here's some math so show how crazy this is. .03 times 1000=$30(the price of inventory when maxed out), 1000(cases) times 1=$1000. If you sell $1000 worth of items on the steam market with tax included you get $869.57. If we can get a maxed inventory(if a lot of people participate we can even get a 2nd inventory). In a year, I promise at least $600 will be going into giveaways at events or just random giveaways on the forums. You don't have to participate just reading this and notifying people will be great help. I will continue to do research but thank you everyone. If you're interested in helping out here's the trade link! https://steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/?partner=230226574&token=GJtbyPVt

BTW- Sending any kind of case is OK, using csgolounge I will be swapping the cases for phoenix so don't worry!

Just some more math down here
Earnings divided by Average steam game equals amount of giveaways 1 inventory
900 divided by $10=90

That's 90 good games edge gamer's can now giveaway from the cost of just giving 3 cents
Pros
These giveaways bringing more attention to our community
Rewarding all of our members
Not asking for much per person!

Update: 213 cases
We went from 36 to 197 in around 4 hours!

So what he's saying is that if you put some money into Weapon Cases when they are really cheap (0.03 cents) it will result in an increase of their value over time. However this doesn't always seem to be the case(No pun intended) and it really depends on the Weapon Case itself and how many actually remain. The way I look at it is the CS:GO community has grown exponentially over the past year which means the number of *NEW* Weapons Case drops will increase with it. http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/730/Operation%20Phoenix%20Weapon%20Case
There is almost 1,000,000 Operation Phoenix Cases on the market not including the monster amount of what isn't. I'd honestly not put money into a Case that won't increase its value in 2-3 years.

He's right though for the older Weapons Cases it was and still is in some situations a great investment. Look at Winter Offensive Cases for example
http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/730/Winter%20Offensive%20Weapon%20Case
There are only 20,000 on the Market and they have increased in 1 years time by $1/Case. It comes down to how many remain, the more rare something is the more money it will be worth.

If it is a personal investment it is great. If you are doing this for later giveaways it really isn't the best way to make Steam Money due to the fact they take a cut. Unless you sell the cases privately or are planning on having a Case Giveaway in 2 years time.

I did notice the amount of cases left, but you have to include the demand for the item. It has some extremely demanding items, such as the AWP | Asiimov, Redline, Trigon etc.
It may be more than a year. Also, I did the math and for a full inventory with the case costing $1 it will be $869.57

I used to hoard esports cases, we had the same idea back in the day lol

The only operation case that valve has reduced the drop rate of is the bravo case, so I wouldn't expect them to reduce the drop rate of any others any time soon..

Might work unless there's a recession and the stocks on these cases will plummet.

Then you buy 1,000 keys and open 1,000 blue skins

1,000 keys x 2.49/key = $2490

1,000 blue skins x average price of blue skin (50 cents) = $500

Im going nowhere with this :D

For all of you noobs failing to read/understand this concept... Basically, if someone were to purchase 1000 phoenix cases, it would take 30 dollars. If the phoenix case drop rate were to be limited, the price would obviously go up to a dollar or more within a month or so of that happening. The mere 30 dollars that you spent on the 1000 phoenix cases would then turn into 1000 dollars. He is asking for people to donate phoenix cases so that he can gather a lot and save them for if this were to happen, and if it does then he will donate some to eGO for prize giveaways or whatever.
