For the past few weeks I've had this sound crackling/static issue. So whenever I leave my laptop on for an extended period of time (few hours) I start to static and crackling at random moments. As time goes by it gets worse and worse to the point where if I am listening to music the instrumentals gets all distorted and the vocals slows down a lot. The problem is temporarily resolved with a system restart. Note I switched to windows 10 a few days ago and I had this problem windows 8.1 and windows 10.

Sounds (heh, like what I did there?) like a driver DLL eating up RAM. What's the laptop make/model?
