Yes we finally got an info drop down from on high at the offices of Overkill about upcoming things for the game. Like how about those FBI files? And where the heck is my safehouse customization!?

Gensec enemy + FBI files: 24th September
Completely Overkill secret reward: October (With a new crimefest event.)
Safehouse customization: Spring 2016
Skill deck rebalance: Coming soon.

Hopefully the skill deck rebalancing means more viable options than just Rogue or Grinder, and we finally don't have to worry about "DLC-less" players instantly grabbing every single grenade out of the suitcase asset with the new free throwing weapon. I'm also wondering when they're going to retool the infamy ranks, since I kind of haven't played in a few weeks due to getting bored of grinding up to 100, picking one of the dozen or so infamy "perks" I have left, and doing it all over again just for a mask and/or increased XP...

Come on Overkill, I needs me a new target!

Seems to good to be true, knowing overkill safe-house customization is going to be a $5-$10 DLC. Hopefully it will be free and available for all players.

It'll likely be free considering it was one of the features that the base game was touted as having back before its launch.

And the Perk Deck Update Update is upon us with a 22MB patch.

My beloved Rogue deck got a slight nerf of 5%, and Grinder received one in the form of a slightly slower health regen. However that's not where they focused really, as they also buffed the less favorable decks to make them more appealing. Muscle now nets you a whopping 4% health every 5 seconds (now with more tank!), Armorer has more armor, and everyone else is basically increased values or distance or whatever.

Well seeing as Payday 2 DLC is on sale, im seriously considering going after some this weekend now. I am gonna go after the armored heist (never tried that map yet). Which other dlc should I get? I also noticed that the GOTY edition is on sale as well, but dont need all that stuff, esp since i already have the original game & 2 dlc packs.

Most of the weapon packs are primarily up to you since you're the one using them, but typically the shotgun pack is pretty solid as the Raven is a good shotgun primary for stealth and the M1014 is an excellent primary with special rounds that you get from it (explosive, AP slug, buckshot, and flechette), and if you're into sniper rifles (and know how to not waste ammo, since its ammo pool is so freaky small) the sniper rifle pack is a good choice for the Thanatos. And Gage Weapon Pack #1 if you demand grenades. Past those one that's almost a given to buy is the Gage Mod Courier pack since it nets you a lot more mods for your weapons.

I personally, and many others it appears, also really loved the Gage Ninja Pack which isn't at quite as high a discount since it's still new. The poison it adds is really awesome with the kunai melee (fast and pretty good damage with a chance to poison) and shuriken (poisoned throwing weapons that you can collect from the ground/wall/corpse to not run out). Character packs are really just up to the player since they're mostly cosmetic, but Sokol's Grinder perk deck is one of the best in the game even after the nerf hit it the other day.

As always, any heist pack is completely up to if you think the weapons are worth it or not. Since it's just linked to the ability to host a heist and some cosmetics typically, you're not exactly missing a lot by not grabbing them. The Armored Transport however, if you need a good sidearm it comes with the Gruber Kurz, probably the most well-rounded pistol in the game.
