Which I covered in my long'ish post. A beta for a game set to release in what 35 or so days?

Let's call it what it is. A pre-release preview. With a few tweaks we are basically seeing what we are going to be paying for (should you actually end up buying it).

That being said, I stand behind my previous assessment.

No, it's a Beta. 35 days until release is PLENTY of time to fix reported issues. They can literally change an entire map or play style the day before or even the day of release.

Now-a-days, the game is beta until you install it and update it. Chances are the game itself is already on a CD and packaged, but until you install it and it updates via the internet, its not final.

Well I hope they do use the time productively then. The game needs a lot more fixed for me to spend money on it.

Good gfx and sound. Runs very smooth on my low/midrange system (custom settings).
Multiplayer is missing every aspect of working together so basically it is singleplayer with human bots.
The cheaters hopped on the train in less than 24 hours - nothing more to say about that.
AFAIK the game will not come on a physical disk on PC so it will be an endless download with my connection. Every DLC - extra payment. From what I've seen so far the Multiplayer will get boring pretty quickly.
If Battlefront has a stellar singleplayer part I will buy it. If the multiplayer will get some sort of Serverbrowser and if there is a way to squad up and *somehow* complement different abilities / help out each other it may be a multiplayer title. In the current state it's pew, pew, pew.
