Buzzing sounds?

I know I haven't been on for a while, but I seriously need help. Every time I turn on my PC it starts making an electrical buzzing sound. I tried plugging it into a different outlet, didn't work. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I think it could be the power supply, but I'm not sure. I'm on my sister's laptop right now, really dont feel comfortable having my PC on at all.

Sidenote: My PC is a Dell XPS 600. No warranty

If anyone could help me out here, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm betting it probably is the power supply, but it's best to open it up, turn it on, and listen closely. (Then turn it off and close it back up.)

Yep, it's more than likely a power supply. I hope it hasn't shorted out and damaged the rest of your computer. Do any lights or fans come on when you hit the button? Is the buzzing coming from the power supply (top rear of the computer, usually) or near the bottom front? Does the monitor do anything?

what kind of buzzing sound are you hearing?

It could also be a loose unused power connector which is rubbing against a fan. I'd power down your system, unplug it and ground it, then look inside to see if there are any connectors in the way of the fans.
