TF2 won't load servers

I just got TF2 about a week ago. It hasn't loaded a server yet. It'll load the game perfectly but when I go to load a server it'll close and say "hl2.exe is experiencing an inconvience" and have the send error report/ don't send options. What should I do about this? Thank you very much for looking into this. Your help is GREATLY appreciated.

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? i had a friend with this same prob(only he was experiencing it with crysis) and it worked...worth a try
