I am only necro'ing this post as this piece of history is insightful and sheds a special light on how the community has grown since its inception. I was fortunate enough to join the community in 2011 when it was still fairly young, considering how long it's been around now, and have seen the many ups and downs over the years. It's almost unfathomable that the community will be 20 years old next year.
