* Is there a Steam group for the clan and division?

* Are there events?
Yes, our division hosts multiple events per week thanks to our awesome Event Coordinators. Events are a fantastic time to let go of the stresses of the day and get to know your fellow members! There’s bound to be something for everyone - exclusive maps, minigames, or other gamemodes are always on the list!

* My tags aren't adding when I join the servers or TS3, what happened?
In order for MAUL to keep your account as active, you must log into the forums at least once every 7 days. However, you should view our divisional forums more regularly for updates on the servers or other potentially important information that might come up. If you have not logged into the forums within the past 7 days, do so and rejoin the server to add your tags
* How do I get promoted?
First and foremost, follow the rules! You cannot expect Leadership to entrust you with upholding the rules if you refuse to obey them. Secondly, get noticed. There are many roads to getting noticed: recruit new members, fill servers, attend events, talk to your fellow members on TeamSpeak, be a good sport on the servers, and post on the forums! Leadership cannot promote you if it doesn’t know who you are. Thirdly, do not ask for it. Self-importance does not speak well to your character and we want mature administrators. Your character defines you wherever you are, so if you have a bad reputation, you will only be holding yourself back. If you are a person of good character, people will recommend you to be promoted and all will come in due time.
Harassing other members to put in promotion recommendations for you, sucking up to members of Leadership, and trading promotion recommendations with other members will ensure you do not get promoted. To be an administrator is a privilege, not a right, and you must earn that privilege not only with good deeds but also with good personal conduct.
* I am an =(eG)=. How do I show that I am ready for my O?
The guiding principles stated above work well for getting your second promotion. Moreover, you have the ability to answer admin scenarios. Answering admin scenarios helps Leadership pick out those individuals worthy of wielding the almighty ban hammer. In addition, when other admins call on you in server to address an admin situation, answer their call! Getting field experience is one of the best ways to gauge your readiness for promotion.
* I will be gone for [time]. Do I lose my admin/membership?
Membership is never revoked for time spent away from the community. Administrative powers, however, do lapse over time if you do not visit the website regularly. It is important to log onto the website at least once per week as an admin; this is how the system tracks whose powers should remain active and whose powers are rendered inactive.
If you need to be away from playing for an extended period of time, notify a Leadership member. He or she will be able to assist you further.
The Servers
* Are statistics used on the TF2 servers?
Yes. We use GameME to support statistical tracking on all servers except our Event server.
* Do we have any commands on our servers?
!gameme - brings up the GameME menu
!gameme_vanish 1 - eliminates GameME points messages
!store - Allows you to buy unusual effects, trails, and chat colours. Find more store info here
* There is a hacker in the server and there is no admin around. What do I do?
If you aren't able to get a hold of an admin and you suspect someone is hacking, record a demo of that player's activities.
- To do this, go into Spectator, then find the player in question.
- Open your Console (default key: ~) * Note: To Open Console you must check the appropriate box under Advanced Options on the TF2 Main Menu.
- Type record <enter any name here, preferably the player's name>
- When finished, open your console and type stop.
- Your demo will be saved in your steam game directory.
- Demos must be submitted for review along with a ban request to http://www.edge-gamers.com/forums/mi...pies=1&do=form .
* How do I notify admins of a problem on the server?
There are a number of ways to notify admins of a problem:
1) If there are any admins on your server and you believe they may have overlooked an infraction of the rules, send them a message directly. To do this, open team chat (default key: U), type @ and then your message. All the admins on the server will see your message.
2) If there are no admins on your server, you can send a message via global admin chat. To do this, open team chat (default key: U), type & and then your message. All the admins across all of our TF2 servers will see your message.
3) Log onto the TeamSpeak server and go down to the Team Fortress 2 rooms. Join any of the rooms and ask if there is an admin present to help with the problem.
4) Look through your Steam friends and look for an admin who would be able to help you with the problem.
5) Depending on the severity, you can file a complaint via DropBox or Request a Ban on the forums.
Note that only Leadership can view the DropBox. Requesting a Ban should be left for a problem where the warn and kick procedures were followed and the problem still occurs or if there was a clear violation of eGO's zero tolerance policy such as racism.
Be mindful that any resolution may be slower in implementation as DropBox and Request a Ban isn't checked as actively as a message on the server, TeamSpeak, or on Steam.
Specialty Teams
* Does the Team Fortress 2 division have any specialty teams?
Yes, the Team Fortress 2 division has three specialty teams: 1) Event Coordinators, 2) Admin Trainers, and 3) Recruitment Hosts.
* What are Event Coordinators?
Event Coordinators are eGO ranked admins who are responsible for hosting various events on the Events Server. Our Event Coordinators (ECs) host various events, such as our weekly Black Mesa event, Dodgeball, Convoy night, and many others.

Admin Trainers are eGO ranked admins who are responsible for training newly promoted eGs and eGOs on the rules and regulations of Edge-Gamers Organization and how to handle situations with via the proper protocol.

Recruitment hosts are admins devoted to promoting cooperation between ranks, as well as facilitating the recruitment and integration of newcomers into our division.
