Wired is best, except for convenience (though, I'm tired of coming up with elaborate measures to suspend my mouse cable, hehe). As far as 'gaming mice' go, the Habu is really light and plastic-y (like all razers), but I hear a lot of good feedback about the Logitech mx518.
If you must have a wireless mouse, though, don't skimp. The cheapo ones are horrible... stick to only Logitech or Microsoft (whether wired or wireless, for that matter).
