Battlefield 1 Some good points are brought up here

I agree. I've all but stopped playing BF1 and went back to BF4. I hope their next game is Bad Company 3 that returns to it's roots. Forget the console players and casuals. Make a game that rewards skill acquired over time.

I am glad other gamer's much more skilled than myself are frustrated with BF1's mechanics as well. It has been by far the most difficult battlefield to adjust to going back to BF2 which is the first battlefield I really actually put time into.

I am glad this guy said something about accuracy because it's been by far my biggest grip in this game as I try to find a weapon that can work in most situations. It's very apparently because usually when I died by a particular gun I see the same dang gun killing every &$#%^&$ time! Is this because the gun looks particularly pretty? No it's because there are really only a few guns worth your time using IMO. Hellreiger, the Bar, automatico, and snipers. There is not a great diversity in what you are being killed with. I felt in BF4 that there was vastly more diversity. Each gun did have it's unique qualities, but a decent player could generally be successful with a wide range of weapons. I do not feel that is the case in BF1. This is the first BF game where I feel I have passed up quite a few medium range shots because I know the accuracy of my gun just won't do it and it's not worth giving up my position yet. When the demo came out, I was like "why is everyone playing sniper?" then I started to play that class and realized that it was

And the "releasing of the kraken" element of the game while is initially cool, it just doesn't feel right. I see the idea of a team getting a little more help if there are struggling but out of say 50 games played, the bohemouth gets release 49 times and can be a significant advantage on many maps

Even snipers have that random deviance to their rounds. I play a lot as scout and see it often. There have been many many times I know damn well I aimed right at a guys head, only to watch the round go off to the side. When using a Gewehr 98 sniper I also noticed that when I chamber a round, even though I did not move my mouse in any way, when going back to ads, the aim is off by a random direction. I'm not sure what DICE is thinking with this game. EA/DICE are going to lose players.

BF4 servers are already filling back up to pre BF1 levels. Not saying I won't ever play BF1 again, but it's not my main focus.

I will always prefer BF4 but when playing with the guys and girls on BF1, the experience is much more enjoyable but I shouldn't have to play a game with friends all the time to enjoy it. The frustration I get when using specific weapons grows when a player I am shooting at (with the surprise advantage) manages to kill me with the same weapon. Do not get me wrong, it's a beatiful game, plays very well, but the overall experience is limited, use of the same weapons, dying by the same weapons, spawn killed, etc...

hmmm... I really hope that Bad Company 3 became a real, for him I will invest in my PC just to run it.

Have not played BF1, my younger sons have with their friends, and they have already moved on to other games. Basically saying what LevelCap has said.
My son destroys players in BF3 and 4 on Xbox. He has a lot of skills that BF1 does not allow him to use. So he has moved on.
The sad part...when BF1 came out...that was all he and his friends would talk about. Then after a few weeks they realized the issues and it was downhill from there.
I was going to try it on PC, but after hearing their issues with it, I didn't bother with it. Very upsetting, it looked good in the trailers and videos.

Another point to make, we have seen players who left BFBC2 return. BC2 has a really great physics engine which has not been duplicated since.
This game definitely rewards playing time and skill. I love it.

Did Dice even make the engine that drives BC2? Or the Maps? or was this purchased from another company, then packaged into a new game for BF?
I know they say Frostbite was created by EA, but why is BC2 so much different and better? How can such a company lose what BC2 had?
And specifically not re-produce those qualities?
I think they got rid of a few key people who had the magic or care with all, and it has been a steady struggle ever since.
Do they produce good games, sure, but they do not produce great games.

oh well, back to the Heavy Metal server...

I haven't had any issues with BF1 like that. o.O

I actually enjoy the game.. am I the only one?
