Hey guys,

Just letting you know, I will be bugging out of Tampa to Mississippi on Friday, so if I'm not online or around, it's probably because I'm busy enjoying bottled water and MRE's while Irma turns my home into firewood.

Will get back on when I can.

To all Florida eGO members: Heed the warnings. This one is going to be bad.

I have some family in Miami and I would like everyone in the path of Irma to please please please listen to the evacuation orders. Don't think you can just sit it out in your home.
 
Southern Florida is about to get wrecked hard. If you know anyone there, tell them to GTFO immediately.
 
Stay safe everyone! This hurricane has already devastated complete islands already and isn't stopping anytime soon!
 
Good idea, stay safe people!

I have grandparents and other family on the coast in Melbourne, they are staying. Also have friends in Ocala, they are staying. I think they'll be okay in those locations, nobody too far down south in my family. Hopefully everyone down there listens to the evacuation orders.

Anyways

I'm up here about 30 miles north of Atlanta, we are supposed to get rain and wind

I work at a retail store right now... we are out of bottled water. We are almost out of bread and milk, empty shelves all over. Super busy. The gas station in our lot is out of the cheap gas, still has premium. And the Atlanta area is going to make it through this fine, no idea why people up here are panicking.
 
I'm back.

I'm also stupid.

I ended up staying once Irma dropped from a Cat 5 to a Cat 3. Figured I'd weather it and several other members of my team were staying -- I wasn't going to let them down.

It's a good thing I did. I was the one with the stored gasoline.

So we survived, and Tampa has power -- mostly. Pinellas county is still kind of a mess. Things are rapidly getting back to normal. There is actual bread in the stores again, and almost everything is open.

On the downside, Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam has placed the citrus crop loss somewhere between 70 and 80 percent for all of Florida.

That is going to hurt.
 
Glad to hear you are ok! Things can be fix and will return to normal. But over all just glad to hear you are ok.
