Counter-Strike Global Offensive Jail Server Ghost mode

I would like to propose the addition of a ghost mode in the jail server, this would be a mode activated by typing !ghost while dead and allowing the player to run about the map invisible to the alive players and unable to press buttons or pick up weapons. This would be a great addition in my opinion as jail rounds can be very long and boring to watch, and it would be fun to be able to practice the mini games while waiting.

Just because I was bored I tested redie on my own server and it looked like blocking bullets is fixed. I did not really stress test it though just me and teimyw but the REDIE BETA looks like it could actually work.

It does. It's just not like pG's where it would autocomplete.

It still has other bugs, like dead people being able to activate certain map things and triggering other things. Varies from map to map.

Yeah that's true, I only tested it on summer so it could still be broken on other maps but while I was dead I could not pick up guns, break vents, use doors/buttons, or trigger_multiple but trigger_teleports worked.

Maybe later tonight I can set up a server with some people and test it out on some more maps to see the limitations of the plugins and what works and what doesn't and what maps it wont work on.

I was there I can confirm that what he says is true, we test if it
1.Blocked bullets
2.Could activate triggers
3.Open doors
4.Make footsteps or jumping sounds

Turns out it does none of these things.

On Avalanche you can stand on the ice in race to break it, you can stand on top of heli secret to prevent it from working, and you can block buttons by crouching on top of them such as Clouds, and block big cage by standing in the middle of the doorway.

I know this because I used to troll on Redie servers.

With that being said, this could be a DS only thing and if you abuse it you lose it. But if everyone could have it, guarantee it'd be abused.

Would be a pretty nice marketing strategy
The only problem with it is that people are invisible when dead, which means that you probably wouldn't be able to tell if someone is trolling - and if you were able to tell, then you wouldn't be able to tell who?

I do like the idea of it, but I definitely can see it being used to troll and disrupt the server. Plus like Sophey stated I don't see how we'd be able to tell which person would be trolling considering they would be invisible.

It would be extremely simple to add an admin command so that an admin can toggle seeing ghosts on for themself to see who is interfering.

I'd prefer this to be DS only as well to limit the ghosts to a manageable number.

Yes, on another community I remember seeing the command "/showredie" that only admins can use, but if a DS is abusing it with no admins on, I believe DS should also have access to that command to take matters into their own hands as redie abuse is serious.
