So there is allot of rulebreaking whenever there isnt any admins on , freekills , mix spamming etc and so I thought of this idea where there could be an admin with an e tag , but nobody would know he would be an admin , and he would for example have the powers to mute , gag and swap . The idea of this is that whenever people wanna freekill someone , they would obviously do it when there is no admins , but there would be an admin but just nobody would know that because he doesnt have the eG tag . Allot of the times whenever there is no admins , people just mic spam or gunplant.

What's your opinion about this?

If you look into the eGO community most admins are known to the JB community regardless of their tag look at ApexLock or LightSouls remove their tag you still know who they are.
This could work if they were to be put into spectator and their names are completely invisible

But another problem is most of those who micspam, say racist stuff, etc. are randoms who join the server. If they get banned at least they got a laugh they'll just move onto another JB server. And if an E does that stuff it gets reported on the forums, so I don't see a need of doing this of Devs going in and making a new command

/vanish is kind of a good idea. I think it would be needed for the Pg servers, because they can get quite crazy. Back on the older servers, like in 2016-17, it was more managable because of smaller player sizes. I'm for it though. The only conflit I see is it's against the policy of play first, admin second.

This isn't minecraft

undercover admining has always sucked and why we've disallowed it for so long. it leads to persecution of specific players, witch hunting, and the act of admining first rather than playing. We've had instances back in the day of admins purposefully changing names and taking off tags SPECIFICALLY to target a SINGLE individual to try and catch him in the act strictly because they didnt like them and wanted them gone.

If shits going down without admins, you have all the power in the world to deal with it, as Rogue stated above. allowing them to go undercover only leads to more problems then it helps solve.

Along with what a few others have said, this has been suggested MANY times - dating back all the way to 2007. And it has been denied time after time. This totally goes against our play first admin second policy, and MAUL is not structured or set up at all to do this. We've mandated all our admins MUST wear tags and identify themselves in server and when this was tried, it didn't go well at all and was quickly removed.

Ban requests, recruiting good e members, finding good players who can admin during those off times are needed. Not hidden admins. Fistacles makes a good point - you have tons of methods to call admins and make sure players don't return. I don't see the community management team or board of directors EVER moving this idea forward, considering the past and how we are structured.

I can understand why you are suggesting this Vayz. In hindsight it doesn't sound like a bad idea, but there are methods that work just fine now without having to be sneaky about things.

Players without admin are encouraged to either get an admin on the server to reprimand a player (with evidence of the person committing the acts) or to create a Ban Report to get the player dealt with. This not only gets the player in question dealt with, but it also shows us as Leadership who really cares for the server and possible candidates to become admins in the future.

Cheers!

C Corrupted since a few of us have weighed in, I am going to move this to the completed section to end discussion on it. We do appreciate the ideas and keep them coming.
