Counter-Strike Global Offensive Jail Server Jailbreak: CTs Camping Armory?

Is this an unwritten rule? I've had numerous admins say its unacceptable, and some say for me its fine.
I'm tired of CTs camping secrets and armory and me asking admins to get them to stop, and nothing happens.

Make sure you actually read the rules before you play a game.


Damage vents or go into them unless you hear/see/suspect a prisoner has gone through (do not camp vents).
Be out of sight from prisoners, unless actively hunting rebellers (do not camp restricted areas).


For future reference, please post a contact leadership so you can get the official leadership opinion. I replied to this on because it's straight out of the rulebook.

If you're talking about peanut, (which i'm guessing you are since it's the only map that I think fits that description) if you think we completely ignore you, You're wrong. We try to handle everything, but you have to understand we have to watch over 30-50 people at one time. Not easy. Even if we acknowlege it, we have a procedure. If we ignore that procedure we easily risk angering players.

Secondly, you said you're "interested in caping directly in front of the armory door", but what are you interested about? The wording on that confuses me a bit

It's fine for now. If you feel like that admin is causing a problem for not knowing the rule, also post a contact leadership, reporting that admin as they should of been taught rules and known them. (BTW, if you do, please provide proof, because not saying you are, but plenty of people have lied before)

Anyway, it falls under camping restricted areas. It doesn't matter if someone is inside or outside. However, if they are provoked, (teammate information, visiual information, listening, etc), they can go after said T. It is fine if the CT knows there is a T inside of armoury, and he wants to camp outside of the armoury, playing the angle, it's fine. HOWEVER, since that player is a CT, if it was more then maybe, 10 seconds, and two are just sitting there waiting for one to push, the CT has to push, the CT can not delay. The rule if there for unprovoked people. If someone is camping outside of armoury because that CT knows it is a popular spot, then that is not allowed, doesn't matter inside or outside. (obviously there is some execptions, like if the Ts are playing a game but the CT can also see armoury and the Ts. As long as that CT is not camping it, and just checking it every now-and-again, it's fine)The point is too see what the goal of the CT is. Is his goal, 1. checking if the CTs are safe, or 2. checking if someone is in armoury. As you can guess, 2. is not ok.)

To sum up, unprovoked, no they can not camp, provoked, they can play an angle.



Edit for demonic: If what he is going off of, generally don't worry about it. If it not causing a disturbence in the server, don't make a fuss. 2 admins having to take care of 40 people in a hard task. If feel it is a real problem from a player, then take a video, and keep taking evidence until it becomes and bannable point. (Generally 5+ times would be a bannable point). Demonic is talking a specific situation, where as I am talking about the general rules in a perfect world

Provoked or not Provoked. On things like what you are talking about, we can not tell you situation for situation. Just follow the rules and gather evidence for people that aren't.

Since I was the admin on when you wrote this to admin chat I'll explain why it isn't camping because I didn't explain it that well in game.

On vipinthemix the armory door is on a catwalk that overlooks the cells and cellblock area. When you reported in admin chat that cts were camping armory I looked and just saw a bunch of cts watching the ts on the catwalk. This is not camping because the cts were not inside the armory and were watching the ts.

The interesting part of this discussion is whether or not peeking into armory on Vipinthemix is considered pursuing rebellers. Probably not, but it could be construed that way, which then opens the discussion to "Is it pursuing without sus".

This is where rules would fall into a sort of gray area. Assuming what WaSe said above is true (that you're able to peek into armory to check if anybody is there), if they're going out of their way to check it overly often, I would consider it camping. Similar to how on dojo, you can keep the vent cell in your sight, but if you're dead staring at it scoped in, thats camping.

Take my opinions with a grain of salt though, since I'm not an admin and have no authority on this matter other than my time on jailbreak.

Idk... we had a rule that if you could see a T, you were fine even it meant on a catwalk right at armory or even in armory because they had glass windows to be protected by...

Idk... maybe, like don't always just go to armory, go to the other areas of the map where there's guns or like choose a different vent exit if CTs can easily hear the one you keep breaking...

Idk, just maybe try some other strategies...
