Division this will effect: Counter-Strike
Server: TTT
Idea: Upgraded Karma System

As of right now, the karma system is incredibly simple, and inaccurate of measuring the integrity of a player. It is based off of killing traitors for 5 karma, and killing innocents removes 5 karma.

The problem with this is knowing who a traitor is can simply take common sense, and they just kill a player because they know. However, in a lot of cases, this is rdm. Anyone who plays TTT knows what I am talking about. Killing a traitor does not measure your integrity.

Additions to Karma System:
  1. Going three rounds in a row without killing an innocent as an innocent grants 5 karma. Special role rounds are excluded and will not effect the streak.
  2. Killing a traitor as an innocent or detective grants 3 karma, rather than 5.
  3. Losing more than 25 karma in the span of 30 minutes should result in a day long ban. This will teach players to be careful, rather than banking on their single roundly rdm not being a mass rdm.
  4. Raise the Karma cap to 150, this will give new players something to grind for rather than getting to 110 and no longer caring. I got to 110 in about an hour of playing.
  5. Add karma rewards, such as decreased prices in the traitor shop.

Thanks, Trey.

Hello, K kz Trey

i like your ideas of this so i will go from the top

"Going three rounds in a row without killing an innocent as an innocent grants 5 karma. Special role rounds are excluded and will not effect the streak."

Answer^ its a great idea but it could make a game bad, for if that happend what will the innocents do let me explain that they will ofcourse camp the game and dont pursue the round, they wont do anything to up keep the situation, for it can be diffuclt for innocents that they will lose their streak if another player attack him (innocent attack innocent) and he will then turn around to kill that innocent and he will lose his streak and lose karma, so on this its but there is still some good ways to make sure it wont happend. So if another innocent attack another innocent first, and only that innocent kills the attacker he wont lose his karma.

"Killing a traitor as an innocent or detective grants 3 karma, rather than 5."

Answer^ i do not like the idea, for killing a Traitor will always be special for people for you got proven they can trust you, but i think its better with the 5 karma still.

"Losing more than 25 karma in the span of 30 minutes should result in a day long ban. This will teach players to be careful, rather than banking on their single roundly rdm not being a mass rdm."

Answer^ i do like the idea, for i like reducing it to 25 karma instead of 40-45 for then they got a bit more stuff to learn but the admins will handle it faster, before reaching to that situation, so i belive its also just better to keep it at 40-45 karma, for when and IF you reach that you will be banned for 1 day, and when they get banned for it they have the opportunity to read our rules, to learn the game, (even though we want people to read out rules before actually breaking all the rules)

"Raise the Karma cap to 150, this will give new players something to grind for rather than getting to 110 and no longer caring. I got to 110 in about an hour of playing."

Answer^ love the idea, and if you wanna grind for something go for a 200 cap then we can talk about grinding but it will be hard since we have to control everyone follow the rules too, but its propaply worth it, who knows but it could cause problems so we maybe have to increase the low karma to 50 karm or 80 karma and you will start with 100 karma and then you got 100 karma to grind that sounds worth it still.

"Add karma rewards, such as decreased prices in the traitor shop."

Answer^ That will be a big no from me, for its not even worth it doing like that, and we are already getting new stuff added to our servers and we will try to make all happy but that is a big no.

So thats my opinons now i wanna see other peoples opinions on it too

At this time, we do not have any intentions to change the karma system, as it's been improved after the recent update. Players will now no longer lose karma in self-defense, which should fix most issues that we had with karma. We'll be keeping everything the way it currently is for the time being, but may look into these suggestions in the future. Thanks for the suggestion~
