The first build of this series was great. With two 1080p monitors, a light up case, and a razer kraken headset...what else could you ask?

My PC played games well, but not well enough to run anything high-intensity as my PS4. I didn't have the money to upgrade the GPU, or the CPU...but maybe if I made it look better, it'd keep me happy.
I began designing my new build. I wanted a color scheme, I wanted cable management, I wanted custom cables. I began picking my parts. To begin, my case:

This case was a full tower, plenty of room for new excitement, compared to my tiny mid-tower. I got a steal on this Corsair 140D Airflow Edition case, so maybe I could upgrade the motherboard? I had no reason to, but my previous lack of knowledge led me to do it.

My new PC upgraded to a ROG Maximus X Hero motherboard, and I even threw an i7 6700K processor in there, realizing near the end of the build that I could sell the existing parts for extra cash. The enw PC was done, but it couldn't run 144HZ 1080P gameplay...
