As a MC member there isn't much to do but farm, as other criminals join the city they find there's nothing to do besides the jobs provided or whitelist. Some of the people who do not want to be whitelisted feel as though they should have a way to earn big as well.

If implemented correctly (seen on various other servers) there could be a timer set every 30 min on bank robberies with a limit of 3 cops online

This new system allows cops to breathe in between robberies and gives the community something new. Since bank robberies have to be properly played out maybe the admins and managers could have a talk about ground rules for PD and Citizens.

- This means you cant rob a bank back to back without PROPER planning
(i.e LostMC has to document and Log all PLANNED robberies, and civs CANNOT rob another store within the same hour)

Stores Capable of Robbing:
  • MAZE BANK
  • LIQOUR STORES
  • CERTAIN CONVENIENCE STORES

Allowing Maze Bank will also open up opportunity for a NEW whitelist job! BANK KEEPER
This allows another limited job and gives the RP some extra content!

Bank robbery RP generally takes 30 minutes or longer + scene clean up from PD. It's not realistic to have a robbery every 30 minutes and have PD be able to do their normal jobs. I understand Crims have a hard time finding money making things to do that are interesting, but adding more robberies is not the answer.

As for your bank keeper idea. It sounds dreadfully boring. You think MC is becoming a drag, try playing the role of a man who has no need to exist other than to pretend to work at a bank standing there waiting for customers and their sole purpose is basically to be a robbery hostage. Doesn't sound fun lol

I think somebody else said it before, but as a crim you have the extra requirement of having to come up with Roleplay that doesn't always result in literal funding. That's what whitelisting does, it gives you the income to not worry about money and focus on creating RP scenarios. There's lots of potential scenes you can play out as a criminal that don't actually make money, but could be fun for criminals and cops alike but still allow you to be a criminal.

You are on a ROLEPLAY server. Ride around and find stuff to do, that's the whole point. I would suggest you head on over to twitch.tv and under the GTA V section there are tons and tons of people who livestream GTA RP - I would also suggest you view a few of them and get some ideas of stuff that you could do, or even spark your own creativity. (I personally watch Vader, koil, and Ziggy)

Non-whitelisted jobs earn the exact same amount as whitelisted jobs per hour. Albeit it's currently boring to do so ( ;) ) - They do all earn ~$10,000 per hour of work. As far as drugs go, I cannot personally say anything about it because I do not have a criminal character who does this. But seeing the amount of marked bills people have on them, I would think its pretty dang high.

Now for the robbery portion; (p.s there is no "Maze Bank")

We have in the past had a monstrous amount of complaints from both the Civs and the PD side about robberies which is why they are currently disabled. We have also in the past tried to use the Vinewood Bank as a thing players could rob but would always result in people dead on both sides and complaints from all involved which is why the idea was canned. I do however like the idea of a new job (whitelisted or not) - But it would be pretty boring just standing there and waiting.

Most of the robberies have been garbage. In between getting shot as soon as we roll up and the fake hostages, we usually get one good scene. The rest of the time, it's hot garbage.

Even if the scene goes well and the cops still manage to catch the perps, they piss and moan that the cops cheated.

And when the perps get away legitimately they get pulled out of character into an admin situation for over an hour, oh well

I've not personally seen this, but if that is happening, you know what would stop it real fast? An admin complaint submitted to RDK (as he is in the Admin Training manager)

I’ve seen this happen. After a robbery, almost everyone involved got pulled into an admin scene that ended up lasting like 3 hours. It was the dumbest thing ever and I ended up being one of the only cops on duty, having to deal with more robberies because the cops in the admin sit still had their jobs set

Well that seems entirely unreasonable. Wondering why I've never heard of any of this.

To be fair, I've seen this happen. Back when I was in MC and we organized that BMW robbery. Where a BMW drove off the robbery and met up with 6 other BMW's of the exact same design and escaped the police because of it.

Immediately after, multiple officers reported it to admins claiming we had exploited and spawned in the BMW's and that our lack of license plates was unrealistic.

In reality we spent a good hour-hour and a half renting each BMW individually, customizing them to be blacked out entirely and grouping them up at the garage after driving through our getaway plan on a test run. The plates were not placed on the vehicles because we were OBVIOUSLY committing a crime. Why would you put an identifiable plate on your vehicle, ESPECIALLY if it's a rental if you plan to escape with it.

The situation was eventually cleared of any wrong-doing on these accusations, the worst we had was some he said she said minor unrealistic driving from a decoy vehicle or two, but nothing serious.

The point here is I understand where Rekty is coming from because this happens a lot on robberies. If the crooks get away, the police then backtrack and search for a reason to call foul play from an admin point. It happens on both sides as someone else here mentioned, but this was just my civilian perspective of it.

We have a stigma where people want to call admin on both sides when things don't go their way because everyone wants to win. It's not exactly something that can be avoided however given it is a roleplay server and a lot of these opinions are based on each person's perspective of what is realistic.

This is why they were disabled.

Everyone just goes back and forth about pros and cons, where if we have them disabled (like now) there is no room to complain about robberies and everyone just continues to drive like idiots :)

I put a suggestion to help solve that too :P

EDIT: Nvm, that script was just shot down, back to the drawing board.

Idk how it can be so resource intensive when the only lspdfr f6 let you press shift and it would mark a car on your map :(

I feel as is robberies would work well if there was effective regulation, instead of just shutting it down. For example there must be AT LEAST a team of 4 people robbing banks with lots of equipment and proper planning. With my short time in the PD I was in 2-3 robberies with 1-2 people, no hostages and honestly crappy rp. So I understand what can cause some issues that have arose. Proper rules that are set in place while doing large scale robberies would encourge affective rp. I also agree with the idea of a "bank keeper" and to add on perhaps banks could have a 2-3 hour cooldown and would be only "robable" when the bank keepers are online.

Thats just my 2 cents.

I think robberies are never going to actually have really good roleplay come out of them due to the nature of how they work. Even in real life, the police just sit outside and wait for the criminal to come out; because he has to come out. The only reason they enter the building is because they have to in order to save lives of those inside. I would be all for just sitting outside forever, but that would leave every other call unanswered since we don't have the resources to sit outside of a bank stalemating the criminals into submission while simultaneously responding to other calls of service.

Also, outside shooters is a garbage mechanic and should go away.

I used to do a ton of robberies on other servers and it always ended up in an admin talk cuz the PD get salty and call foul play.

i mean there is systems that actually work and are fun its a matter of simply looking into them to make the server that much more fun
