issues with vent...

I have a problem with vent. It seems when I am in cod4 and hear talking its alot of scrambling voices mashed together. when I reply back there is a delay. I have done alittle research on this and it seems when I alt-tab out of cod4 and talk on vent its instant . The rambling and mashing of other peoples voices is spaced out on time. although I do notice my ping time goes extremely high. it will go from about 80-90ms to 400-500.. one time I even seen this shot up to 4000ms range. Any suggestions? help?

so you alt tab to talk on vent? cause you shouldnt have to

I just so happened to alt tab out of cod4 to see my ping on vent. This is when I noticed that when I have cod4 minimize I can actually jush my key to talk button on vent and what I say comes through instantly and when someone else talks it is instantly. when I am in cod4 there is a delay when I talk and when someone else talks theres a delay and it all comes through my speakers as if people are talking over each other.

mmm maybe update your sound drivers and make sure that your vent is up to date?
