Ch|ken's Photoshop Tutorial. =]
[size=15pt]Okay, so for this tutorial, I used the following from Deviantart and local resources:[/size]
-Brushes: I used BEWC Grunge 11 Brushes (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/57463008/?q=boost%3Apopular+in%3Aresources%2Fapplications%2Fpsbrushes+bewc+grunge).
I also used Texture07 brushes for texture. (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/57306944/?q=boost%3Apopular+in%3Aresources%2Fapplications%2Fpsbrushes+texture+07)
-Fonts: I used Ninja Naruto font face (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/11292317/?q=boost%3Apopular+in%3Aresources%2Ffonts+ninja+naruto)
and I also used a House font face in the sig (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/42535879/?q=boost%3Apopular+in%3Aresources%2Ffonts+House).
-Render: I used the following Sasuke render (http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/4619/naruto28io2sx.png)
*Install all of your brushes into this folder: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop\Presets\Brushes
*Install all of your Fonts into this folder: C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
Step 1: Open a new file
Click File>New>Custom. Now set the width and height to what you want. I used 400pxs/125pxs.
Layer1: Fill background
Now, to fill the background, go to Edit>Fill. Make sure that you have the fill window set to Color... [You may have to open the scroll box and select it even if it's up -SOMETIMES-]. I selected a lighter blue color to fill the background.
What I have so far:
Layer2: Brushing [White]
Now that we have our background filled, open a new layer (Layer>New>Layer). Now that the new layer is opened, go to your brush tool and select the BEWC Grunge brushes mentioned above. Now that you have the brushes selected, change your Foreground color to white and brush a few times
What I have so far:
Layer3: Duplicated Layer [Overlay]
Now duplicate layer2 (Layer>Duplicate) and set it to Overlay.
What I have so far:
Layer4: Brushing [Purple]
Open a new layer and set your foreground to a dark color [I used a darkish purple]. Now that you have the foreground color changed, start brushing over the new layer.
What I have so far:
Layer5: Texture [Faded White]
Open a new layer. Select a brush from the Texture07 brush set mentioned above. Enlarge the brush to cover the entire sig and then brush ONCE. Set the OPACITY of the brush to something around 22%.
What I have so far:
Layer6: Random Line [Black]
Open a new layer. Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool and draw a [Somewhat] thin line across the bottom of the sig [Click and drag to make a box like you would on your desktop]. When you are satisfied with the size, right click inside of the box you made, and select fill. Use the same process as mention in Layer1.
What I have so far:
Layer7: Texture [Faded Dark]
Open a new layer. Select another brush from the Texture07 brush packet. Set the Opacity of the brushes to 100%. Brush across the layer. After you're done brushing, set the opacity of the LAYER to 50% [Layer opacity is found in the box on the bottom left hand side of the screen].
Layer8: Render [Motion Blur]
Open a new layer. Paste the render you selected onto the layer. Press ctrl+T to edit the size of the image [To keep the image from distorting while you're editing it, select on of the corners of the image outline and hold the SHIFT button]. When you have your image placed, use the Magic Wand Tool to select the background of the IMAGE. When you have areas of the background selected, simply use the Eraser Tool to erase the background. After you have the background erase, duplicate the layer 3 times. After duplicating, go back to the first layer with your render. Blur the image using motion blur. Filter>Blur>Motion Blur. Set the distance to 41.

Layer9: Render [Motion Blur][Overlay]
Now repeat the same process for the second layer as you did the first [With the Render].
When you are done blurring the render, set the layer to Overlay.

Layer10: Render
When finished blurring, just leave this layer with the render on it untouched. This is the top render that will show in the sig.
What I have so far:
Layer11: Brushing [Faded Dark]
Open a new layer and get out your BEWC Grunge brushes again. Now select your foreground to a darkish blue color. I used a deep blue. When you have your foreground chosen, begin brushing on the new layer. Don’t get carried away while brushing though. Too much brushing could make the sig turn out to dark and horrible. Once you’re done brushing, set the opacity of the layer to something around 32 [So the render is darkened a little].

Layer12: Brushing [Faded Dark]
Open a new layer and repeat the same process used in Layer11.
What I have so far:
Layer13: Border
Open a new layer and select the Rectangular Marquee Tool. Now highlight the whole layer. When you have the whole layer highlighted by the Marquee Tool, right click the middle of the sig. When the box appears, click “Stroke.” When the stroke menu comes up, make the Width of the stroke 2 pixels, and change the color to black. Have the ‘Centered’ button clicked. When you have everything set up right, click okay.

Now for the text
Layer14: Text
Okay, now that you have the actual sig finished, it’s time to add the text. Select the Text tool. With the text tool, create a box by clicking and dragging the mouse [Like you would on your desktop]. When you have the text box set up, change the font to the Ninja Naruto Font mentioned above. Now type Sasuke into the text box. Make the font of the text a darkish color by highlighting the text and clicking on the color boxes. I used a dark blue for the text. When you are satisfied with the location and color of your text, duplicate the layer. Set these two font layers below Layer6.
What I have so far:
Layer15: Text [Overlay]
This layer is the duplicated text layer that you made in the process above. The only thing you’re going to do to this layer is set it to Overlay.
What I have so far:
Layer16: Text
This is just an optional text. Create another text box by using the same steps mentioned above. Select the font type as the House text mentioned above as well. Keep your font face the same as the Sasuke text color. Now type your name in and place it right above the second Sasuke layer and you’re done!
