Can You Tech Guys Recommened A Decent Comp.

Hey, I am thinking of getting a new computer and building it from strach rather than buying it from a shop who charge extra.

I forgot about this post. My price range would be up to £1000 max!!!! I was having a look about all the equipment, but was wondering if u guys could recommend a good setup/rig and i will try and find the price on this site.

Motherboard: XFX N680i LT or Gygabite P35 DS3R
CPU::: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Case: Coolermaster Cosmos 1000
RAM : 2x1 GB DDR2 1066 Kingston Hyperx (if you want, get 2 of these and remember to get Vista 64 bit to get all the 4 GB of ram,if you dont have a 64 bit OS you will only get to use 3 GB)
Video Card: Inno3D 9800 GTX
Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F1 750 GB (2 of these on a RAID array would be fine)
Power Supply Unit: Antec TruePower Quattro 850W

PS: I would not buy the 680i motherboard,the C2Q Q6600 cpu.Why? well you can get a next generation of both. I would get a 750i or 780i motherboard instead of the 680i. Theres also a new Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 or the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400.

For the RAM, get the 2x2GB DDR2-1000 kit from G.Skill. It's $90

The 9800GTX is a good card, but try to get one from EVGA.

The 780i is a good choice as well, but don't touch the 790i.
