My name is Garbus and I'm part of the new crew coming in to get Garry's Mod servers up and running, and now that its been announced on here I thought I would make a forum account. I was a Tech and Admin on Garry's Community ZS server, and by "Tech" I mean I fixed things that broke with Notepad++ and an SSH client, as well as added maps and plugins, so I'll be learning how things are done here at Ego in order to continue doing Tech stuff for GMOD.
A bit about me, I'm very much a Tech enthusiast and spend a lot of my time tinkering with computers and electronics. I consider myself to be a part of the "maker" crowd so I make a lot of random gadgets with 3D printing and microcontrollers. I'm also big into cars and motorcycles and got my motorcycle licence last year as well as a 35 year old Honda bike to ride around, so if anyone here wants to talk car stuff I'd love it. I'm also a bird lover and have 2 budgies, a cockatiel, and 5 pigeons. I've also been to college 3 times and learned 3D modelling, video production, graphic design, a bit of HTML, and Photography, so I'm sure I'll find some good uses for that here as well.
I'm currently employed as a civilian photographer for the Canadian Military, and I've applied to join the military to stay on as a photographer once my civilian contract is up. Its a lot of fun and I'll probably share some of my work at some point.
So yeah, thats most of my talking points I think. I'm super introverted with a good glob of social anxiety so it might take me a while to warm up to all the new people here, but I'll be making an effort to fully mix in with the community here. I'm looking forward to helping get GMOD up and running and building a new GMOD community here.
