Just some XenForo Suggestions

Ello!

I'm definitely glad that we moved to Xenforo while the base software is pretty good for what you need getting started i also been using xenforo for a number of years and so i've listed plenty of add-ons (free, paid and hyperlinked) that you could consider adding to the forums to expand features and functions! :)

- XF2 [8WR] XenRio 2 (Streams) PRO | Paid
Is an addon that makes streams watchable on the forums with supported websites such as Twitch, YouTube, DLive and Mixer (Till Mixer ends i guess?)
- XF2 [8WR] Discord Integration | Paid
Allows registration/login on XenForo through Discord OAuth2, Assign roles on your guild/server based on usergroups in XenForo, Enforce username matching from XenForo to your guild/server, Enforce bans on your guild/server when someone is banned on XenForo and Post new threads, replies and status updates to channels on your guild/server. Just wonderful addon with keeping the forums sync'd with discord!
- XF2 [8WR] XenPorta 2 (Portal) PRO | Paid
Promote threads on your forums into an articles index, Promote threads on your forums into a feature slider, Define specific users as "authors" with their own byline, Change the look of articles to look more news content and Uses XenForo 2's built-in widget management system. Haven't personally had much experience with this addon but it shall be a great addition to become the front page of the site like when it had Wordpress as the frontpage listing articles...
- XF2 [8WR] XenMedio 2 (Media) PRO
This was the first plugin that actually made me feel in love with XenForo, to be honest, pretty much the most what people use this for is a video library for YouTube videos and Twitch clips, While other platforms are supported i'd say just support the main platforms for the longterm, you are also able to make changes on the library such as a featured section where you can keep official eGO at the top of the gallery and it is rather clean :)

XRM will provide an easy space where we can download maps, personally id like the option to download all the maps at once and put them in my game folder instead of waiting downloading a map one by one... There used to be a website that solved this issue where you can download all maps in one go like a basic FTP archive of maps used by eGO.

There's obviously a bunch of add-ons that the XenForo Dev Community makes HERE, to also help expand features and functions of the website so i say check it out and also there's another site with some pretty awesome add-ons such as theme house which you can also check their addons HERE

I was actually going to suggest them both! but the server listing doesn't cover all games that eGO support so i couldn't recommend it i was but since it didn't support all their games i couldn't

and with ups i haven't used it but i did see it but since i haven't had person Exp with it i couldn't of

and for a dark mode i did have the perfect style but I'm sure the eGO Council (is that still a thing?) be able to do one with the color palette by changing a few colors of the current style

You could ask Matti on his discord to add the missing games, shouldn't be hard.

So far i know that is already planned / on the todo (dark style/mode).

Regards of the server list the addon is in beta so yeah plenty of room for addons but yeah that depends on the dev

True, we may have maul, but this addon is already built and suites the needs already. maul will still need to be builts to do the same things, may take 1 night to do it all from what Jaxel said but its something that will auto sync user roles, forums post in the right discord areas and so on... i do agree maul be a better option but the featured isnt here for the forums n discord

I have locked this thread, we do not need suggestions at this time because the majority of them are I WANT TO BE LIKE PG (the reason why the other thread was closed.)

We are not going to be anything like PG. We thank you for your suggestions, but when we are ready for them we will open the floor.
 
Good suggestions though, I believe we are planning to use a few of those you suggested.
