Headphone suggestions

I know people have made this post in the past but I'm trying to see if anyone uses the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II Gaming Headset and if they recommend them. My budget is around $300 so if you have any other suggests please let me know.

For that budget I would pick up something like the Sennheiser HD 6xx from Drop. $220. They take a while to ship from Drop as it's currently not an active drop, but are well worth it, and are for sure the best set of cans you can get for $300 or less. If you want them sooner you can probably find them on eBay or on r/AVexchange on Reddit. They are opened back though, so be aware of that. You might also want to pick up an external AMP/DAC, as they do require a bit more than the power provided by a 3.5mm jack to sound their best. You can get a decent one for $100. Or use that extra money towards a Mod Mic.

Just get the one without the mic attached, for one, it's cheaper, then you can spend that savings on a Yeti Snowball, or if you are dead set on using it as a headset, just buy a separate boom mic

is this for gaming or just for personal use? I have them for going to the gym and traveling as what not, great headphones, but I would not use them for gaming. the active nc is really weird when you're talking and they're pretty heavy after 4-5 hours. also you'll have to charge them like every 3 days

Yep. I currently have the blue yeti 10 year addition. Usually headphones with mics don't work the best.

Gaming use. I currently have the new wireless earbuds but they don't connect well with the bluetooth on my PC. Awesome. Thanks for the tip I didn't think about the charging aspect or the weight.

I’ve been using my QC II since Oct 2019 and I love them. I strongly advise against using the mic with them though, as it will heavily decrease the audio quality. I use a simple aux mic + the headsets and I’m not personally bothered by the noise canceling effect on my voice.

I would also recommend looking into the Bose 700, They’re $330.00 so a bit out of your range, but doesn’t hurt to look at them if you’re considering getting the QC II’s.
