GTX 280 for sale at $650!

ohh boy a OCed 9800gx2 for more money go nvidia. seriously nvidia wait a year, your cards are pretty much the same

Nvidia should have waited but they didn't. I think that card will own anygame, for that price..
 
From what I've seen the single 280 isn't that omg.. but they scale well in SLI... it can play Crysis on very high 4x/16x at 46 FPS... with 3 of them... THREE... CMON...geez


my new PC gamer mag has Crysis Warhead in it.. they say it looks better.. and isn't as poorly coded so it actually requires less then crysis... so ya.. crysis sux code wise...
 
not that i don't love my 8800gts 92 to death but if i had to i'd rather just stick with a high end 9800.
 
Way too expensive, and not much in performance gains. The only upside, is the amount of transistors, i believe that's the correct term on the card. Other than that not too beneficial.

You know, my whole pc cost 200$ less, than this card, and i haven't run into any performance hitches yet.
 
Looks like competition from ATI has now forced Nvidia to lower the prices on their top of the line cards.
