SCARY FPS rates?!

Okay about my computer. Im was running 1900x1200 at 256 FPS rate. [At Desktop]
I try checking out the minimum res. 800x600 at 52 FPS rate? ------->[At game Starcraft]

What happend to that? kinda scary.

my VideoCard: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280.

i wouldn't be surprised if SC had a frame cap. I know for a fact that at one point in time pre-source DoD had a frame cap that you could go into console to disable if you wanted to. I wouldn't worry too much about it really. Can the human eye even see a difference between 256 and 52?

you're not having any problems really, if that's your question. Run anything in source and see what happens.
