Hey all, so I'm working on an Alienware M15 laptop. It currently has Win 11 on it, but it previous had Win 10 on it. I just figured out how to get my usb drive to recognize in BIOS after some fuss. Anyways, while in the process of trying to create a fresh partition, Windows says that the partition itself is GPT, even though I told it to create a new partition, which means that it should have overrode the original partition and immediately set it up as NTFS. However, Windows keeps repeating this cycle for some dumb reason. Any ideas on how I can overcome this issue by chance?
Update: so a video showed how to convert the disk to GPT & converted the disk to GPT, but now the laptop won't even recognize the usb drive. Even my desktop won't even recognize the drive (even though it will make the sound recognizing a drive going into the mobo). I think my last option now is to create a burned image on a dvd & try it that way (i have a portable dvd drive, so hoping that the laptop will recognize that).
